Dibrugarh is an important town of North East Assam and North East India. It is a big centre of trade and commerce and noted for its tea, coal and oil production. Situated at a distance of 445 kms from guwahati, 136 kms from Jorhat and 80 kms from Sibsagar, Dibrugarh has a good number of tea plantations around the town. The largest Salix Swamp forest in North East India Dibru Saikhowa National Park is situated at a distance of 42Kms from Dibrugarh town.
