Palak Lake Reserve Forest

This cool and virgin forest is located 378 kilometers way from Aizawl in the southern most corner of Mizoram within Saiha district covering an area of 15.50 square kilometers. The biggest lake in Mizoram, Palak Di (lake) is situated inside the Palak Wildlife Sanctuary. It is oval in shape, occupying an area of about 1000 square meters. A paradise for fishes, it is within the reach of Saiha town where accommodation facilities are available at tourist lodge. Scenic beauty of the hill ranges and the rolling clouds mixed with thundering sound followed by heavy rains are mesmerizing. The slow clouds moving across the hills and valleys, during rainy season are the sights of sheer pleasure.
