Siliguri
Siliguri is situated at a distance of 613 kilometers from Kolkata. This city is the gateway of the North East India, Nepal, Bhutan & Bangladesh. This is the second largest city in West Bengal. Siliguri is well connected with the other parts of the country by rail, road & air. Famous for Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, Darjeeling tea, forest timber and as the tourism hub for North East India. - By Air – Bagdogra Airport is 8 kilometers from Siliguri (IXB). Regular flights to and from are available for Delhi, Kolkata, and Guwahati. Bhadrapur Airport of Nepal is close to this airport.
- By Rail – Siliguri Town Station, Siliguri Junction and New Jalpaiguri Railway Station are the three stations in Siliguri. The New Jalpaiguri (NJP), which is well connected with the other parts of the country like Delhi, Kochi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Guwahati etc. Siliguri has another junction station through which the trains from Katihar, Luknow and Darjeeling are available from New Jalpaiguri Railway Station.
