Wathai Heritage Bungalow, Tinsukia

Tinsukia is situated 480 kilometers north east of Guwahati and 85 kilometers away from the border with Arunachal Pradesh. Wathai Heritage Bungalow is in Limbuguri Tea Estate- is a newly added boutique plantation bungalow will allow guest to rejuvenate the senses as it defines serenity and guest will most certainly leave feeling revitalized. Recently renovated and is an ideal base whether on a quest for peace or seeking refuge whilst on a birding tour to the nearby Dibru Saikhowa National park. Located just 5 kilometers from the park, it is the ideal location for a birding break or birding. It is considered an important Biodiversity Hotspot in India. The Brahmaputra at the northern border and the Dibru river at the southern, the park is an island which houses feral horses, endangered White - winged Wood duck, the Hoolock Gibbon among varied flora and fauna. Guest can spot birds like Marsh Babbler, Jerdon's Bushchat, Hornbill, Marsh Harrier, Pied Harrier, Ruddy Shelduck, Black Breasted Parrot bill and many other ducks, birds of prey and grassland birds are common. It is indeed a birder’s delight! Endangered species like Gangetic Dolphin and Feral Horses are also common sights in the park. Freshly brewed tea from the plantation can be enjoyed in the verandah to the front of the bungalow. Meals are served in the spacious dining room complete with a fireplace. It has three rooms named after birds – Minla - The family room, Sibia and Yuhina. All rooms have attached bathrooms and can comfortably accommodate up to eight people. Tinsukia is well connected by air, national highway and railway. The nearest airport is at Mohanbari, Dibrugarh which is about 40 kilometers from Tinsukia with daily connection with Delhi, Many trains like Rajdhani Express, Brahmaputra Mail, Kamrup Express and Inter City Express run through New Tinsukia Junction Railway Station.
