Murlen National Park is located 245 kilometers away from Aizawl lying close to the Indo – Myanmar border in Champhai district. The area is protected and preserved by the state government and is the home for precious and endangered faunal population of Tiger, Leopard, Himalayan Black Bear, Serrow, Hollock Gibbon, Sanbar, Barking Deer, Wild Boar, Peacock Pheasant, Hill Myana and many varieties of bird. The vegetation is administered of Quercus, Schima Wallichai, Betula Specie, Michelia Champaca, Pinus Khasia , Prunus, Myrica, rhododendron, Arundinania Callosa, Canes and variety of orchids.
Scenic beauty of the hill ranges and the rolling clouds mixed with thundering sound followed by heavy rains are mesmerizing.
