- By Air - Nearest Airport is in Dum Dum i.e. at Kolkata (Kolkata Airport), which is air linked with all major Indian and international cities. It is 210 kilometers by road to Netaji Subhas Bose International airport.
- By Rail - One can travel from Digha by train from Howrah. From station one have to hire a taxi or use the bus to go to Ramnagar and hire a trekker to go to the beach. Frequency of trains is less. Roadways save time while travelling from Kolkata.
- By Road - Shankarpur is nearly 190 kilometers from Kolkata in Travel Time of 4 ½ to 5 hours. Buses ply to Shankarpur from Dharamtala / Esplanade, Kolkata. Guest needs to get off the bus at Choddomile or Chaulkhola (14 miles in Bengali) between Contai (Kanthi) and Digha to proceed to Shankarpur. Just before Ramnagar and hire a trekker to Shankarpur.
