It is also a rustic Hamlet situated at an elevation of 1676 meters / 5,500 feet, and offers a fascinating view of sunrise and sunset. Magnificent view of mount Kangchendzonga and the Himalayan Range with the snow capped peaks are mesmerizing. Mount Chomolhari of Bhutan is also visible from here. Nathu La and Jelep La pass is clearly visible. Neora Valley National Park is in the vicinity. The region is still virgin without much rush. It is an offbeat site and lots of birds can be spotted. Lava and Lolaygaon are two more tourist spot near by.
A walk to the highest point of Rishyap one can get an excellent view the sunrise and sunset. From Tiffin Dhara which is a little higher above one can get 180 degree panoramic view of the snow peaks of the Himalaya spreading over Nepal, Sikkim and Bhutan.
